Luke 18:17

Please for­give me for the long delay in adding posts as we have been very busy lately at the ranch.  It was just brought to my atten­tion that I had posted the wrong scrip­ture, and thus an unfin­ished arti­cle, as such, was unfor­tu­nately posted.  Here is the full, quick com­men­tary I wrote a while back on Luke 18:17, not 16.  Enjoy.

"Ver­ily I say unto you, Whoso­ever shall not receive the king­dom of God as a lit­tle child shall in no wise enter therein. "  Luke 18:17

We can see from this pas­sage of scrip­ture that it is the atti­tude of the heart and the readi­ness (or eagerness/willingness) of the believer that catches the affec­tion and the heart of our Lord.  Those that come to him with hum­ble­ness and meek­ness, not assum­ing or rely­ing upon their own strengths, value or earthly posi­tions are the ones that truly receive the bless­ings and full­ness of his pres­ence and thus real author­ity in his king­dom as their reward.   Those that pre­sume to be able to under­stand and teach prin­ci­pals about a king­dom that their eyes have never seen by using only their nat­ural human rea­son­ing, intel­lect and capa­bil­i­ties indeed have much to learn.  Thus, those that come to God with a puffed up inward state — whether in the heart or in the mind, no mat­ter how out­wardly pious and sin­cere, will go away quite unchanged and as earthly as they were before.
